What AmeriPlan USA Is And Isn't
I think it's important to point out that AmeriPlan USA is a great business for starting your business in.
AmeriPlan USA has quietly provided families and individuals with the best health/medical discount plan in America and a great home-based business opportunity for nearly 30 years.
Like McDonald's, Target, Chase Bank, and nearly every business in the world AmeriPlan USA business owners make money from those in their "downline".
Yet unlike employees of those "employee/employer businesses, AmeriPlan USA only has business owners...and AmeriPlan USA business owners not only benefit from the success of their downline but every business owner in their downline has no earning limits.
Additionally, the efforts of AmeriPlan USA members, as business owners, will always be fairly compensated without them ever needing to ask for a raise or promotion.
AmeriPlan USA is a network marketing entity. Network marketing is not only NOT a "negative" thing...it is...LET THIS SINK IN...it is about the only way a financially "poor" person has any chance at becoming a middle or even high-income earner. There is almost no start-up cost and you can keep your day job until you no longer need it.
AmeriPlan USA IS NOT A:
W-2 / job or a 1099 independent contractor gig. It's a business that enables you to start, run, and grow your "plug-and-play business within it
cult - No one is trying to make you believe a lie or that it's something it's not and you can leave it any time.
get your friends or family to join - There are many ways to find interested and well-suited people who would really appreciate being able to have their business within Ameriplan.
hound you - It's your business and your "upline" is there for you...not the other way around and if you join that applies to you and your role as it relates to your downline.
RAWRAW - There are no "hype it up" meetings. There are virtual meetings but they are training-related. Again, you can exit anytime.
Compare And Contrast Starting/Having Your Business Within AmeriPlan USA VS Starting/Having A Typical Business.
AmeriPlan USA IS a business that:
anyone with little more than enough money for a family night out can start their business in.
is plug-and-play - You can join in the morning and make money by the afternoon.
allows you to work from home/ almost anywhere.
requires no overhead - a computer or cellphone is all that's needed. No building rent, maintenance or dealing with theft, etc.
is designed so you can receive income from people who, as a result of your efforts, become members. And while you should be there for them, as needed, to get their business "launched", (which is actually fun and rewarding), that's where it ends. If you've ever had employees you know how nice this is.
gives you all of the freedom and benefits of being your own boss without any of the negative aspects typically associated with owning your own business.
you can be profitable within days even hours.
enables you to start making a residual income within two months.
makes it possible for you to earn money without doing anything beyond your initial efforts. How much you'll receive depends on your residual income and the percentage of income you receive from your downlines. Residual and downline income means you can pause your enrollment efforts for a vacation or medical reason or even retire with a monthly income. Most typical businesses are nothing more than all-consuming jobs in that once you're not "working it" you have no income.
has a "product(s)", in high demand, that you never need to stock or do a thing with.
you can work as little as 10 hours a week and in just months be earning as much as you would with most 40-hour-per-week jobs.
you can leave your business to a friend or family member.
Start A Typical Business means that:
it will likely cost you thousands before you do any business.
it may take several months even years to be profitable. Many businesses don't become profitable for 3 to 5 years.
it can go out of business within 5 years. The average business fails within 5 years.
you will need to pay rent and/or maintain a space unless it's a home-based, t-shirt or similar business.
you have to wear many hats and juggle a lot of balls" even if it's a home-based t-shirt or similar business.
you will never make money while you sleep, nor will you ever receive residual income.
you can leave your business to a friend or family member. But will they want it?
The Plan, Cost And Profit
This is my take (Gary Wolf) on what can be a realistic average 1st year of your business's cost & profit in AmeriPlan USA. (Remember as a business you can write of business expenses)
Start-Up Cost. First off plan to (REMEMBER YOUR STARTING A BUSINESS) spend around $300 to start your business.
This includes joining AmeriPlan USA, (which includes:
AmeriPlan USA, websites
All you need/want to know self-paced training
Live person-to-person support).
The $300 also includes getting your own website, (optional) to be used as a "sales funnel".
After your first 10 enrollments, you should get a registered state business name. That should cost about $75. That it!
That's your total start-up cost. Just 2 people enrolling as business members could cover your entire start-up cost...and even leave a bit of profit.
Operating Cost. - All of the following or likely tax "write-offs". Seek advice from a tax consultant.
Ongoing monthly medical discount plan of 39.99.
Portion of your wi-fi or internet.
Portion of your residence.
lead-generating cost.
There are many ways to find and contact people interested in having a home-based business a.k.a "leads" or prospects.
Ameriplan USA and I discourage pursuing your friends and family unless they are inclined to start a business and possess most of the traits previously listed.
So, this said, people can find interested "prospects" by doing everything from putting a sign magnet on their car or going to a local flea/farmers market to advertising on Facebook or going through a lead furnishing company.
I like to find prospects by going through a lead vendor because I have a system that works well for that.
Again, there are many different ways to find prospects, and many are mentioned in the training that accompanies an Ameriplan USA business consultant member (BC) membership.
All in all, I think it's reasonable, at first, to expect to spend $100 per week getting prospects. Keep in mind just one person joining covers that expense.
Below is a chart that I feel is very realistic for your operating cost and the number of prospects that will join with you. If anything it's on the conservative side for profit.
The chart is based on a 10-hour work week and at first, you'll likely spend more time on getting people to enroll than helping them once they have but in time, as you get better "dialed in" that will likely flip.
Based on 10 hours per week, you should aim for getting at least 3 people to start their business in the first month and then increase that by 3, each month up to month 4. By the 4th month you should be enrolling an average of 3 new business owners a week. This is just a comfortable goal. Remember no one will push you to do anything but support is there to help you achieve your goals.
If you stay at just 10 hours per week I feel it will be 12 per month is a comfortable goal but hey...you may do more. I just think, (at 10 hours per week), to enroll and do right by your new business owner 12 per month is near the limit.
That said, I think you could likely double whatever you are accomplishing by the end of month 4 by just doubling your time commitment.
The following chart is based on 2 out of 3 new business owners becoming Ameriplan USA Business Consultant/BC for the $200.00 membership. Even though $200 membership is a better value I have found that between 3 out of 4 to 4 out of 5 purchase the $200 membership.
Lastly, the R off to the far right stands for the $10 residual income you'll receive from every business owner who joins with you.
You'll receive that $10 from everyone you've enrolled as long as they remain an Ameriplan USA member.
So, if you were to enroll 100 people you would receive 100 x $10 or $1000.00 R or residual every month.
Please note: You will very likely receive a lot, A LOT more income from the enrollment "efforts" from your downline
Cost & Profit Chart
Month Memberships Total Spent Earned Residual
1st 2 x $200 + 1 x $100 = $500 - $100 weekly x 4 = $400 = $100.00 + R = $0
2nd 4 x $200 +2 x $100 = $1000 - $150 weekly x 4 = $600 = $400.00 + R =$30
3nd 6 x $200 +3 x $100 = $1500 - $200 weekly x 4 = $800 = $700.00 + R = $90
4th 8 x $200 +4 x$100 = $2000 - $225 weekly x 4 = $900 = $1100.00 + R = $180
IF you just continue at 10 hours per week. Keep you full-time, etc.
8th 8 x $200 +4 x$100 = $2000 - $225 weekly x 4 = $900 = $1100.00 + R = $450
12th 8 x $200 +4 x$100 = $2000 - $225 weekly x 4 = $900 = $1100.00 + R = $720
If you went at this 20 hours a week, rather than 10 hours after the 4th month, by the 12th month you'd be earning $2200 + $1020 R + a lot of bonuses
The Cost And Profit Chart reflects conservative earning amounts considering you could earn $200 on every person you enroll instead of just every 2 out of 3.
Plus these earned amounts don't factor in the amount you will receive from all those that enroll through your downline.
The chart doesn't factor in people who enroll in the Ameriplan USA Medical Discount Plan which can really add up, especially in montly residual income. BTW some people wanting the medical discount can be a perfect fit for the business plan too.
The number of people you enroll and which memberships they choose will vary but what the Cost And Profit Chart reflects is realistic for most to achieve with 8 to 12 hours of effort a week.
Lastly, you will end up spending a bit more/less per week to find people who wish to join.
All things considered, the Cost And Profit Chart likely underestimates the amount of what a person could achieve and earn with only about 10 hours of work per week. Of course, if a person were to put in twice as much time and money a week they'd likely more than double their earnings, especially as each month keeps piling on more residual income and downline bonuses.
